November saw the return of much beloved NZ Sculpture OnShore after a five year hiatus. The weather behaved beautifully, making the opening gala night on Friday 3 November a spectacular success at the stunning Fort Takapuna location. Artists and guests mingled and marvelled among the impressive and thought-provoking exhibits; over 600 pieces of art from 100 artists. Then everyone gathered for speeches and thanks. The three-week long event broke all records: 21,000 people visited and it sold 39% of its 130 artworks on sale – the most ever in its history. NZ Sculpture OnShore is grateful for the support of principal sponsor Fisher Funds and gold sponsors Hesketh Henry and Harcourts Cooper & Co, and has raised an incredible $2.3 million for Women's Refuge NZ over the last 27 years.
